Lighting Retrofits
We will develop an energy efficient lighting plan that will fit your needs without
interrupting your business or production process. Here are just a few of the reasons
why it makes sense to consider updating your current lighting system:
Retrofit Lighting Benefits:
Energy Savings
Achieve savings of 50% or more on your lighting costs.
Utility Company Rebate Programs
Utility company incentive programs pay up to 50% of the costs. Direct Install Programs can pay as much as 90% of the costs. (Limited funds are available.)
Environmental Benefits
Lighting represents 37% of the energy consumed in commercial buildings each year. Lowering energy use will reduce the emissions of carbon dioxide and other air pollutants that are generated during electricity production.
Reduced Maintenance Costs
With new equipment, no maintenance is necessary for years. The life cycle of the new equipment is much longer.
For example:

T8 and T5 Ballast Life -
T8 and T5 Lamp Life -
Compact Fluorescent Lamp Life -
Replacing Obsolete Equipment
Effective June 30, 2010.
If you are using T12 Fluorescent technology, largely considered antiquated, you'll no longer be able to purchase replacement magnetic ballasts to support those T12 lamps. Incandescent Exit Lights are no longer available for purchase, therefore parts will be scarce.
Better Light Quality
Dramatically improved CRI (color rendition) over older lighting technology, such as T12 metal halide and high pressure sodium lighting.
Improved Lumen Maintenance
The new equipment maintains light levels far longer than the older equipment.
Wide Range of Light Color Choices
From warm light, like an incandescent, to cool light, such as sunlight.
Reduced Lamp Flicker
Electronic ballasts drive fluorescent lamps at 20 kilohertz (kHz), a frequency well beyond the visible range of flicker to the human eye. This can significantly reduce eye strain in the work environment.
Quiet Operation
T8's operate more quietly than T12's, eliminating the "hum" often associated with fluorescent lighting systems.
Reduced Cooling Costs
Electronic ballasts consume fewer watts than magnetic ballasts while providing superior light quality. They generate less heat, which reduces cooling loads.
Tax Savings
The Energy Policy Act of 2005 provides tax deductions for lighting retrofits.
